Sustainable Connection

Winston Churchill, a famous long-time Prime Minister of England said, “There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a human.” Because all of Creation is connected, we need to develop ways to enable harmony in order to sustain it. Horses have a gentle way of teaching us to be in harmony with ourselves and others.

Burning Tree, in conjunction with Whimsy Brook Farm, Ltd., is offering a variety of unmounted “Horse Connection” programs. Burning Tree members receive a 15% discount.

Grooming & Being With Horses

This is not show-grooming, but a horse-care practice that both horses and humans find enjoyable. Classes are for adults, by appointment, private or in a small group of no more than four, and are instructed by farm staff. Sturdy footwear and a riding helmet are required.

Horse Schmoozing

Grooming and keeping company with horses. This is also an adult activity. Participants must first take the Grooming and Being with Horses classes and pass a safety test. You must also make appointments for your schmoozes, be assigned a horse, and provide your own grooming equipment as prescribed by the Farm. Sturdy footwear and a riding helmet is required.

Horse Whispering

This is an unmounted program where participants learn to speak “horse” and then learn to work with horses at freedom. It can be presented as a workshop or done on an individual basis.
